Hellifield Lichen

A stunningly beautiful textured mix media painting. That has taken a long time to layer up a dry to create this very textured piece, originally started in 2015. Claire has observed the lichen which is so commonly seen on our iconic dry stone walls of this area. The particular image was taken outside Hellifield and she has very cleverly worked with oil paint to create rich organic textures and earthy tones with a citrus yellow popping through.
