Dark Green Skeleton Long Drop Earrings

Sue’s inspiration for these long drop earrings are Classical Roman motifs and Art Deco designs. The stunning single leaf can be seen in exquisite detail.  The skeleton leaf is used as a stencil to create the design and to emboss the surface when it is heated to apply the dye. so the wearer can observe the leaf in all its glory.  the Drop Earrings have a strong graphic design that looks really striking when worn.  The technique starts with a series of separate dye processes she applies the colours and emboss the surface relief directly from the plants onto the cuffs, earrings, and necklaces.  So each piece is slightly different from all the others.

She find’s working with plants is good for the well-being, and want’s to share with the wearer appreciation of the beauty of nature. Inspiring people to take a closer look at familiar plants and increase their sense of wonder.
