Crimson and Yellow are a series of two abstract paintings, with lot of lyrical movement between the brushstroke mark making and collaged elements of Japanese papers throughout.
They are two of my favourite paintings in our exhibition and are displayed above potter Craig Underhill’s work, which I feel is complemented very well.
The colours have a tendency to pull you into these paintings allowing you to observe the closer details, and interoperate your own stories found within the shapes.
