Charred Driftwood, Textile Piece

A beautiful small study by textile artist Ally Harper. We love how she has charred this interesting piece of driftwood and incorporated steel nails and white thread into the piece. The nails add a beautiful polished sparkle to the wood and complement the white dramatic threads.

We think this piece looks great framed alongside David Knight’s work, but we can also imagine it in a modern home displayed alongside collections of objects people have gathered from natural surroundings.
