Carrier Beast and curved stems stack

A really beautiful warrior beast by well regarded artist Shirley Vauvelle. Shirley is based is Scarborough and we have been very fortunate to display her work in the gallery over the years.

This one reminds me of her stacks that we have displayed before, where elements if pebble’s are stacked on the back of the animal.

Her warrior beasts are brilliant they capture the attention of a lot of people seeing different animals, some say bears some say dogs or wolves. The detailed texture Shirley creates on each sculpture lends them to be displayed alongside paintings. They are also stand alone pieces that can be displayed in small alcoves or on shelves alongside other studio pottery.
