Lynn Muir

Lynn Muir was born in East Anglia and trained as an illustrator at Colchester School of Art, where she earned a degree in illustration and design. After college, she spent time working in theatrical and retail prop design, developing a strong sense of visual storytelling. In the mid-1980s, she relocated to North Cornwall with her family, and in 1986 she established her own workshop overlooking the Atlantic coast, inspired by the surrounding beauty. There she began creating wooden figures, boxes, and wall pieces from the driftwood she collected on her doorstep.

Each piece is shaped with saw and sander, painted by hand, and infused with a quirky personality that feels entirely hers, imaginative yet grounded in everyday warmth.
