Create enamel flower stems for you home interior with Emily Knight

We will create three flower stems of your choice, based on spring flowers. You will be able to take away your three enamelled flowers so you are able to display them in a small vessel in your home environment. (Ceramic vessels not included).

The workshop will start by Emily showing you a selection of her enamelled flower stems that she has created. She will also have a series of stencils she has hand drawn that you can select from to create your very own stems. Once you have chosen the three you would like to work from Emily will guide you through the process of saw piercing out the metal. She will explain saw piercing the outer forms as well as saw piercing small details inside the flower.

Once we have all cut out our flowers we will then spend the afternoon enamelling. We will have series of two demonstrations the first one will be exploring wet process enamel and the second will be exploring the application of vitreous enamel.

When we have finished enamelling Emily will also do a demonstration on riveting which is a cold connection process of fusing two separate elements together.
