Explore Lino Printing Techniques with Rachel Thornton and learn how to create these samples into a Silver Brooch with Emily Knight (NEW)

We are delighted to be offering this new workshop with Rachel Thornton who will be our exhibiting artist in the gallery this summer.

Rachel will guide you through some of her Lino cutting techniques on Saturday. You will create your own lino cut design that is inspired by Bentham golf clubs wonderful trees.  Rachel will then help you experiment and execute these designs onto a Lino print which will then be printed onto wood. Once you have created a series of designs you will then select the sample you are happy with and learn how to create this into a silver brooch with Emily Knight on Sunday.

You will learn a number of techniques throughout this weekend from Lino printing, bezel silver setting, and how to create a steel brooch pin. We think this is the perfect workshop for anyone who wants to explore fine art techniques combined with learning some jewellery techniques.

You will go away with a Lino print which you will be able to reuse and print at home onto fabric or paper, as well as a finished silver brooch.

This workshop has a limited number of spaces to allow greater tutor input. All materials and lunch will be provided.
