Create a Sculptural Bangle or Bracelet with Ellen Monaghan

Throughout this two day workshop you will learn a mixture of basic jewellery techniques like soldering and how to finish a piece of jewellery to a good matt, oxidised or polished finish.

You will be working with silver square wire and will learn how to score and fold this into a bangle/ cuff or links for a bracelet if you prefer. A bangle and bracelet requires a number of solder joins so Ellen Monaghan and Emily Knight will guide you through the four types of solder throughout this workshop.

You will also spend some time designing your very own piece of jewellery, observing organic forms found in the natural surroundings of Bentham Golf Club to create your own sculptural shapes.

Once you have created the basic structure of your bangle or bracelet we will then show you how to create a contemporary secure catch.

This workshop is ideal for all capabilities and you can book onto this workshop with no jewellery experience or with a lot of experience in creating jewellery.
