New Learn How to Set A Stone In Wax and Create A Ring With Ciara Bowles

We are really pleased to be welcoming Ciara Bowles back to our 2024 workshop programme, to do another one of her brilliant lost wax casting workshops.

Learn h0w to shape the wax into the ring form that is your size . You will then be shown how to use carving tools to create intricate detailed engraved patterns onto your band.

You will then learn how to set a stone in wax using a technique called placement setting. Ciara will guide you through the processes of creating a hidden setting, bezel setting or claw setting using wax.

Each stone setting  technique will be demonstrated on this workshop before you decide which one you would like to do on your own ring.

The carved rings will then be sent off to a casting company down in London and will be returned to the gallery cleaned and polished up, ready for collection two weeks after the course.

Lunch and all materials are provided on this workshop.

The price is to create a ring in Silver but the option of casting in gold is possible, but we would have to give you a quote of the extra cost of this nearer the time.
