SUMMARY:Introduction into Enamelling – Beginners
DESCRIPTION:Throughout this one day workshop we will be exploring two enamels, industrial enamel and vitreous enamel on copper. Allowing us to experiment with colour pattern and surface texture. Emily Knight will guide you through each stage by demonstrating each enamelling process as well as some of her own experimental mark making techniques that she has developed within her work. We will draw into the enamel by using sgraffito techniques as well as drawing with wire to explore cloisonné techniques. Found objects will also be used to create stencils with enamel. As the workshop progresses you will learn the different firing stages and have the chance to do it yourself. Everybody will go away with four experimental plates and a pair of earrings.\nLunch and all materials are included in this workshop\n \n
