SUMMARY:Claw Setting with Judith Peterhoff and Demonstration into CAD software
DESCRIPTION:Focus on spending the day learning a traditional jewellery technique, with contemporary jeweller Judith Peterhoff.\nWe will be learning how to prong set 5mm faceted sapphire stones, in silver.\nYou can either make a ring or a pendant on the day.\nThis workshop is perfect for practising complex stone settings as well as offering you the chance to refine soldering techniques, as we will be soldering fine wires.\nAfter learning the traditional way of claw setting, Judith Peterhoff will also be doing a demonstration of how to create a claw setting by using the computer software programme CAD.\nThis will just be a demonstration which will give you a very brief insight of how to use a modern day software programme. You will get the chance to understand the differences between creating a claw setting by hand and also the financial difference of having something cast.\nThe workshop includes \nAll materials and tools (including the sapphire stone). An email will be sent a week before the workshop as a reminder\nCapability \nDesigned for people with jewellery experience however beginners are welcome too.\n
