DESCRIPTION:Learn this very special traditional silversmithing technique of raising a sheet of copper to a bowl form with Melissa Montague.\nYou will start with a flat sheet of copper and slowly raise a bowl form using steel, wooden and nylon hammers as well as using sinking techniques . Once you have created a bowl form we will then explore patination techniques on copper that allow the metal to change colour (Green, Turquoise). We will be creating this  natural colour change on copper using natural liquids like vinegar, rice and salts.\nThis workshop is going to be really exciting and includes all materials and lunch.\nYou will go away with one raised copper bowl that has been patinated.\n \n \n
